I loathe moving. Moving everything you own puts a horrible strain on your time and expenses. The only process of moving to a new apartment/condo/house/overpriced box that I enjoy is when I treat myself to a beer after everything is unpacked and put away. This is why designers Marcel Krings and Sebastian Mühlhäuser, took our increasingly mobile society into consideration and created an innovative and unique furniture concept. Casulo, winner of the Abraham & David Roentgen Prize for its innovative design, is a complete set of bedroom furniture that can be assembled and disassembled in less than ten minutes that comes packaged in one box. I believe it would be most useful to a city-living, apartment hopping, person that doesn’t like to spend too much money on moving or furniture. It would also be a great addition for that extra guest room in your house. Either way, it kinda makes me think that soon a whole apartment will be nothing but a box, and considering rent prices, that could be a good thing.
