It has been no secret in the Seattle area that the Fleet Foxes are contenders for one of the best up and coming bands of 2008, so it’s nice to see the boys attained some national attention during SXSW. Given the critical excitement of their performances in Austin, it would seem Sub Pop is gearing to shape them into the roll as the next Band of Horses. Keep an eye out for their self-titled full length which drops 06/03/08, and until then pick up the Sun giant EP which is out now; both on Sub Pop. Big ups to Phil for steering me in the direction of these amazing solo performances made at Nashville’s Hard to Find a Friend blog.
