Lacey-Mae Schwimmer, of So You Think You Can Dance fame, was awesome enough to do a little interview with Cool Addict. ABOUT

Well, television usually tends to show one side of people. not saying I’m not who I was on So You Think You Can Dance because let me tell you I’m a crazzzzyyy bird! But, I’m actually a real chick. I like doing the most normal boring things such as: Going to the movies, napping, shopping, playing in the park with my pup (KoKo-WouldLikeABone!)

I can’t spell, eat bananas, scream (I don’t have the chords to let me, grr!), juggle, or take cold showers. I CAN pretend to sing, master guitar hero 3 (and all wii games for that matter), make a mean bowl of cereal, touch my nose with my tongue, make an voice (I’m a master at voices, make up my own words/sayings.

INSPIRATION

I’ve never been one to follow a trend or person, art moves people in certain ways, but music has always been my inspiration. It has the ability to make you laugh, cry, love, hate, etc. I don’t think people understand how special music can be.

PROJECTS

I just got home from filming a little ditty with Adam Sandler and Adam Shankman, in Napa, California. It’s a new Disney Movie. I am also a part of a rather large show and workshop with a weekend in Norway and all over the USA this fall. I am also about to be in another movie called The Jump Off with my friend Wayne Brady.

I also have a tubesock line out now!! I am super excited for those! Please support! Oh, I am also cooking cup of noodles!

I live with Shauna Noland. Jaime Goodwin and I are still best friends. I’ve been doing some FOX shows with Danny Tidwell, Sabra Johnson, and Hokuto Konishi. Danny and I hang out often,..he’s so boss!

FAVORITE

If you would have asked me while I was on tour, I would say that the Samba with Danny was my favorite dance to do. Now I miss all of them, even the group numbers! AW SO SAD!

IDOL GIVES BACK

It was great! The theatre we performed at was amazing. I met some really cool people, some I will never forget. I loved that it brought all 3 seasons of So You Think You Can Dance and not to mention having the Idols there, kinda fun energy!

I have kind of retired in the competition world. I no judge and coach everyone that is competing. It is cool being on the productions side of things actually.

MOVIE STAR

So all my close friends always tell me I’m a comedian in a dancers body…who isn’t really funny, if that makes sense. I’m the biggest nerd/dork inside, just wrapped in a fake hair, fake tanned body! HAHA! In the movie Just Friends, they always tell me I would be the Popstar!

CHILDHOOD WATCH

I loved The Little Mermaid, Alice in Wonderland, Rend & Stimpy, Kids Incorporated, Salute Your Shorts, Etc.

I’ve been traveling since I was six. I’ve been almost everywhere I have wanted to go. I loved Austria!

Actually, I am not really a celebrate for Lacey person. I love to party for other people, just not me. It makes me feel selfish! I think I am going to dinner at my favorite restaurant in Hollywood, Koy!

DANCER’S ADVICE

For me, I had a rough childhood that at times kept me from dancing, but I just kept pushing through the drama in my life and did it because I loved it. I was self taught with everything, until I did So You Think You Can Dance. So a lot of dancers now are far more trained and well, lucky. You guys are so lucky! So they should remember that!
