These photographs make the world seem so lonely. It reminds me of Signs with Mel Gibson, where they are stuck in their farmland with no one around but themselves (well, and those aliens that want to kill them). Or, it could easily make me think of any more where someone is about to be stabbed in the back by a hockey mask wearing psycho bastard. Still, there is something very serene that Gregory Crewdson brings out in these pictures of isolation and secrets. His work is so popular, that one of his photographs could easily be in the six digits. Maybe when I win the lottery (but, in reality I probably wouldn’t buy one if I was a millionaire).
