This weekend, before destroying my liver due to St. Patrick’s Day celebrations, I visited something rare in Seattle; an underground hiphop lifestyle store (Did you think I was going to say a store not owned by a Korean?). Laced up is a boutique in Seattle’s Capital Hill neighborhood that works in combining Hip-Hop, Fashion and Art in one place. As soon as you enter the store, you instantly recognize that the owners love all things hiphop. They have a great selection of sneakers and shirts lining their walls, the only problem being is trying to find your size. The popular ones sell out faster than an 80’s rock star trying to make a comeback. If you prefer not to swim in a triple extra large, Laced Up has a blog and Myspace page in order for them to inform potential customers when new merchandise is coming in. It is a small boutique, but a rare find in Seattle nonetheless, kind of like that big bright thing in the sky the Egyptians call the Sun.
