I-Beam

Trying their best to make the world a better place, Architects I-Beam Design have gone to construct a house designed solely for refugees. The house is made of wooden shipping pallets, which makes the house a double whammy since these wood pallets are used to delivers medical supplies and food to disaster areas. While I don’t see this as something revolutionary, since I have lived around Shanty Towns before, I do respect what I-Beam is trying to do. These houses seem way sturdier and constructed to a greater degree than what refugees usually get during disasters. Although I am not really sure about the flowers for the added decoration. Usually in a disaster, I doubt refugees will be going “Oh! Such pretty flowers!”, but who knows, the smallest things can make a huge difference. More pictures after the jump.
