I wish I could tell the readers what this project is about, but that year of taking Japanese in College has taught me absolutely nothing and has rendered me unable to read anything related to this in their blog. Although, if you watch their about movie you will learn that PikaPika means an abstract animation film made with flashlights. My fluency in Japanese made me think it meant shiny. Goes to show how much I paid attention in class. Although, you should pay attention and watch their movies as they are extremely entertaining, sort of like Lindsey Lohan’s downfall.
The process of making a video like this is as simple as having a camera and taking a picture of someone waving a flashlight around, but coordination and teamwork are key in PikaPika’s videos. According to the team, their mission is to “light you up” and to prove that anyone can PikaPIka. Watch the movie after the jump.
