Yohji Yamamoto, Adidas, Y-3 Design

Meta: July 21st 2008 // Modern Art & Design + Stylish Funk + Vida Beat

I am liking the new line up from the latest in the Y-3 collection. Although, I really don’t see many people wanting to wear the stuff, any collection that features boots that ninjas can wear is awesome by my standards. Maybe Adidas can pair up with a sword company soon for cool sword designs, then when I slash down my enemies I can look good while doing it.

The “Y” stands for Yohji Yamamoto, the “3″ represents adidas’ three signature stripes and the “-” signifies the link between the two. The collaboration between renowned Japanese fashion designer Yohji Yamamoto and the authentic sports brand adidas has revolutionized the industry, creating a new category in fashion. Y-3 represents design, true craftsmanship, and the future in sportswear. The fusion of innovative design, sport functionality, fashion elegance and spotless craftsmanship all accumulate to the success of Y-3 since its inception over five years ago. [Source]
