Roger Callon originally introduced this Chronograph X design in the 1970’s for the French brand LIP. While LIP has been around longer than Queen Elizabeth’s entire lifespan, LIP never introduced their watches to the United States. LIP is finally bringing back some of its most popular modern watches, such as this one from their Mach 2000 series, making them readily available worldwide. I am not a big fan of watches, unless they stand out in design or can project a holographic image of Lucy Liu dancing for me. Since the holographic idea probably won’t pan out for another couple of decades, I figure if I am going to wear a watch, it will be something like the Mach 2000. Its got a great design you won’t see in many other watches, and it makes you feel like you are part of The Jetsons. Now if I could only find a dog that looks like Astro, then I will be set! You can find this watch, and many other modern designs, over at Watchismo.
