Cinco de Mayo is here and that means many things to many people from different cultures, but I can guarantee that they all involve Tequila. So in honor of Cinco De Mayo, I will share with you one of the best Tequilas I tasted when I toured the Jose Cuervo Factory in Tequila, Jalisco. It is the Jose Cuervo Reserva de La Familia. There are only 17,000 bottles produced each year and each bottle is handmade, numbered, dated and sealed in wax. Every year a new Mexican artist is hired to create an original design for the special edition box it comes in. Nearing $100 dollars a bottle, this is not the type of tequila that you carry around on your 21st birthday. This is the type that you pour to sip on for that special occasion, or that you pour into the margaritas you are making for you and your special friends on Cinco De Mayo. Arguably, it is the best that Cuervo has to offer and if you love Tequila, I strongly suggest you make room on your cabinet or bar for Reserva De La Familia.
