When you think of a small strip mall, you don’t necessarily think of a high class and delicious restaurant; you would probably think of Britney Spears. Sitka & Spruce is located between a Market, Subway and Teriyaki restaurant in the Eastlake neighborhood of Seattle. I only live a couple of blocks away and never thought anything of the restaurant considering it is right across a bar where the homeless convene and drink. This went on until I saw a line forming outside the restaurant for it to open. Then after checking out some fantastic reviews on Yelp, I decided to tranquilize a friend and force them to try the restaurant with me. The restaurant ended up defining the term that you should never judge a book by it’s cover. I would go on about how delicious the restaurant is and how the menu is set up, but I will let the reviews over at Yelp speak for themselves. If you are starving and don’t have a reservation, I suggest you try a different night, since you will most likely engage in Mortal Kombat with other hungry hopefuls waiting to get seated.
