Twittering Out of Jail

Meta: April 25th 2008 // Latest Addictions + Tekno Logik

TwitterTwitter is becoming very popular very quickly in these Social Media filled days. So, this article on CNN really drew my attention concerning a student who used Twitter to get out of a jail in Cairo, Egypt. James Buck was at an anti-government protest when he was arrested and jailed. He wrote a small message to twitter using his phone, which notified all his friends back home that he was in trouble. The story is pretty fascinating, but don’t think that you can do the same if you end up in jail because you were beating your spouse or because your meth lab was raided.
