Using Photographs to Enhance Videos of a Static Scene from pro on Vimeo.
Yay for nerds from the University of Washington!! Not that I was a nerd or will ever be one, but as a photographer and lover of video, I definitely have a strong appreciation for what these fellow Huskies are doing. Yes, there was a lot of times in the video where I stared at the screen with that face of QUE??! But, it still is an interesting watch if you have time.

Things That Are Cool - Sailing

B&W Feet
Sailing with friends on a hot day in Seattle. It was hot enough in Seattle that my apartment became and area where even Satan would not enter. I sucked it up and bought an air conditioner on sale at Target. Best. Purchase. Ever.

Darcel: 2 girls, 1 cup reaction

By: Gabriel Gastelum // August 17 2008 // Mischievous + Multimedia + Random Groove // Comment

I LOVED this. Why? Because this is exactly what your eyes do when you watch that horrible video. Thank you Darcel. I know there are a lot of 2 girl, 1 cup reactions out there on YouTube, but for some reason I enjoyed this one more than the ones with real people in them. Except for the grandma one, that one is boomtown.

How awesome is the picture featured above named Turimetta. Makes me really really want to go to Australia. Although my main reason to go down under is to find a Kangeroo and prove that hey are not cute animals.

Here’s to hoping they don’t get evicted before the actual CD release.

Seattle’s Chinatown-International District Night Market - August 9, 16 & 23, 2008

By: Gabriel Gastelum // August 12 2008 // Latest Addictions // Comment

From CIDBIA:

Originated in Asia, night markets are open air street markets that are filled with a mixture of vendors selling delicious food items, beverages, clothing and consumer goods. When looking for “cheap eats”, night markets are the first places that come to mind. Small bites of food items, also known as “xiaochi” in Chinese, are served at good prices as carry-out or at small tables with stools for seating. In some of the countries, for example, Taiwan, night markets have become an essential part of people’s night life where they can enjoy a variety of experiences in shopping, eating, games and entertainment all in one place. These markets are crowded with folks at all ages, operated daily beginning around 6pm and ending around 1 or 2am most nights.

Nowadays the lively atmosphere and the unique culture of night markets have also been brought to various areas in North America such as San Francisco, Richmond/Vancouver, BC and now Seattle.
